PoolKer Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 14, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how PoolKer LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with PoolKer: A Poker Pool Fusion (the "Game"), across all versions and distribution platforms, including: the free or freemium mobile version distributed via Google Play or the Apple App Store; the paid version distributed via Steam (available for Windows and macOS) or the Mac App Store; and the free demo version, along with any products offered for sale, available directly through our website at poolker.net (collectively, the "Services").
By downloading, installing, or using the Game, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Game.
2. Information We Collect
We collect different categories of information depending on which version of the Game you use and how you use it.
2.1 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and Installation Identifiers. To support online features (see Section 2.3), the Game generates or uses a device-level identifier to distinguish your installation from others. This identifier is not tied to your real-world name, email address, or other directly identifying information unless you separately provide it to us.
- Gameplay and Diagnostic Data. Standard technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and general usage patterns may be collected to help us maintain and improve the Game. This is handled through Sentry, an error-monitoring service used across all versions of the Game (the free browser demo, the mobile versions, and the Steam version) — see Section 4 for detail on what Sentry collects.
- Bug Report Diagnostic Snapshot. If you use the in-Game "Report a Bug" feature, we automatically capture a technical snapshot alongside any description you write, to help us reproduce and fix the issue. This snapshot includes: the game mode and variant in progress (for example, League, Online PvP, vs.-computer, Classic, Khaos, Power, or Power Khaos), AI difficulty (if applicable), whether a Power Card effect was active, the outcome/legality of the most recent shot, the app build number and platform, and your device identifier (Section 2.1). It does not include your name, email, or payment information unless you choose to type that into the description field yourself.
- Advertising Identifiers (Mobile, Free Versions Only). On the free mobile versions, we and our advertising partners may collect device advertising identifiers (such as Android's Advertising ID, or, on iOS, the IDFA where you have granted permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework) and related data to serve and measure advertisements. See Section 5 (Advertising) for detail. The paid Steam and Mac App Store versions of the Game do not display advertisements and do not collect advertising identifiers. The free browser demo at poolker.net does not use in-app advertising identifiers, but the website itself may use website advertising (Section 5.2) and standard web analytics/cookies.
2.2 Information Stored Locally On Your Device
The Game stores the following information locally on your device only, using your device's local storage:
- Career and progression statistics (League wins, losses, streaks, hand-achievement milestones, badges, chip collection, and XP/rank).
- Your in-game Coins balance and cosmetic item ownership/equip selections.
- Your gameplay preferences and settings (including audio volume levels).
- A locally-cached copy of the email address and account identifier from a linked Google account, if you use the optional feature described in Section 2.5 — kept on your device only to display your linked status in the Game's UI; the authoritative copy used for cross-device restore is the one described in Section 2.5, stored on our servers.
- Your own referral code and any pending or active referral code you've entered, if you use the optional referral feature described in Section 2.3.
- Whether you have purchased the optional ad-removal feature on the mobile version, where available (Section 2.6).
This data is not transmitted to us or stored on our servers, and is not backed up to any cloud service by us directly. If you uninstall the Game, clear your device's app data, or switch to a new device, this locally-stored progression and Coins balance will be lost and cannot be recovered by us, because we never had a copy of it in the first place. (If a platform-provided cloud save feature — such as Google Play Games Services, iCloud/Apple's platform save services, or Steam Cloud — is enabled for your version of the Game, that platform, not us, is responsible for backing up and restoring this data; see Section 6.)
2.3 Information Collected Through Online Features
If you use the Game's online features — including online multiplayer ("Online PvP"), leaderboards, or league play that syncs across sessions — we collect and store the following on our servers:
- A device or account identifier associated with your online activity.
- Your Web Coins balance, a separate in-game virtual currency used specifically for online multiplayer matches (see Section 8, Virtual Currency).
- Match history, including opponents matched, match results, and shot-level game state necessary to synchronize a live match between two players in real time.
- Online-specific statistics, including your total online wins and best online win streak.
- Communications or data exchanged as part of matchmaking, reconnection, and match-result adjudication.
- A display name, if you choose to set one for online play.
- Referral program data, if you use the Game's optional "invite a friend" feature: your own referral code and the device identifier that created it; and, if you redeem someone else's referral code, a record linking your device identifier to the referrer's device identifier and the code used, so that both of you can receive the one-time referral reward. This is identified only by device identifier — no name, email, or other contact information is exchanged between referrer and referee through this feature.
2.4 Information You Provide Directly
If you contact us for support, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message.
2.5 Information Collected If You Link a Google Account (Optional)
The Game offers an optional "Link Google Account" feature, found in the Backup area of the player profile. Using it is entirely optional — the Game's online and progression features work without it (the Game normally identifies your installation with the device-level identifier described in Section 2.1).
If you choose to use it, you sign in through Google's own sign-in screen, and we then store on our servers a single small record that links that Google account to this installation of the Game. That record consists of:
- The email address associated with the Google account you signed in with.
- An identifier that Google assigns to that account for sign-in purposes.
- The Game's device-level identifier for your current installation (Section 2.1).
- The date the link was created.
The purpose of this record is cross-device restore. If you later sign in with the same Google account on a different device — including a device on a different platform, such as moving between the mobile version and the Steam version — the Game recognizes the link and restores the account-level data tied to it: your Web Coins balance and your online multiplayer win/loss record. Device-local progress, such as League standings, badges, and unlocked cosmetic items, is not carried by the link; use a backup file (above) to move that between devices. We do not use the email address for marketing, advertising, or profiling, and we do not sell or share it. You can remove the link at any time using the "Unlink" option in the same screen, which deletes this record from our servers; see Section 9.3.
2.6 Purchase Information
If you make an in-game purchase (a one-time purchase of the Steam or Mac App Store version, or an optional cosmetic purchase on a mobile version), the transaction itself — including your payment card details — is handled entirely by the applicable platform (Google Play Billing, Apple's App Store/StoreKit, or Valve's Steam platform), not by us. We do not receive or store your payment card number or other financial account details. We may receive limited transaction metadata from the platform (such as confirmation that a purchase occurred and which item was purchased) to deliver the item to your account. We do not sell anything directly through poolker.net — every purchase is made through Google Play, the Apple App Store, or Steam, and handled entirely by that platform.
As of the Last Updated date above, real-money in-app purchases (ad removal, cosmetic bundles) are not yet available on the mobile version — the mobile purchase buttons currently display a "coming soon" message and do not process any transaction or grant any entitlement. The one-time Steam and Mac App Store purchase described above is unaffected and is fully live. We will update this section once mobile in-app purchases are enabled.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and provide the Game's features, including online multiplayer matchmaking and real-time match synchronization.
- Provide the optional cross-device restore feature for players who link a Google account (Section 2.5).
- Operate the optional referral rewards program (Section 2.3).
- Maintain the integrity of the Web Coins economy and online match results.
- Diagnose and fix technical problems, and improve game balance and performance.
- Serve advertisements on the free mobile version (see Section 5).
- Respond to support requests.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent cheating, fraud, or abuse of the Game's online features or virtual currency systems.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
The Game relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each operates under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud Platform (Google LLC) — the backend infrastructure behind the Game's online features, made up of several Firebase products working together:
- Cloud Firestore (database) stores online multiplayer matchmaking and live match state, your Web Coins wallet balance, your optional display name, your optional linked-account record (Section 2.5), your optional referral program data (Section 2.3), and bug reports you submit (Section 2.1).
- Cloud Functions (server-side logic) enforces the rules around these features server-side — for example, verifying and crediting Web Coins, recording match winners/forfeits, validating referral rewards, and processing account-deletion requests — so that these outcomes can't be tampered with by a modified copy of the Game.
- Remote Config lets us adjust certain Game settings (such as advertising frequency and daily-bonus amounts) without requiring an app update. It does not transmit any information that identifies you — it only delivers configuration values to the Game.
- Privacy Policy (all Firebase products): https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Sign-In / Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — used only if you choose the optional "Link Google Account" feature (Section 2.5). Google's sign-in service handles the sign-in step and provides us the account email address and sign-in identifier described in that section. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) — an error-monitoring service that helps us detect and diagnose crashes and technical errors. It is integrated into all versions of the Game (the free browser demo, the mobile versions, and the Steam version) and may collect technical diagnostic information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and the technical details surrounding an error (such as a stack trace), but not your name, email address, or payment information. As of the Last Updated date above, Sentry error reporting is included in the Game's code but not yet actively collecting data on any platform — we will update this Privacy Policy if and when that changes, though the integration is disclosed here now for full transparency regardless of activation status. Privacy Policy: https://sentry.io/privacy/
- Google AdMob (mobile free version only) — serves in-app advertisements and may collect advertising identifiers and ad-interaction data as described in Section 5. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Games Services (mobile version, where enabled) — provides optional cloud save functionality tied to your Google Play Games account. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Billing (Google Play version) — processes in-app purchases on Android. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Apple Inc. / App Store / StoreKit (Apple App Store and Mac App Store versions) — processes your purchase or download and, where enabled, provides iCloud-based save functionality tied to your Apple ID. Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Valve Corporation / Steam / Steamworks (Steam version only) — processes your purchase of the Steam version and, where enabled, provides Steam Cloud save functionality tied to your Steam account. Privacy Policy: https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/
- Google AdSense (poolker.net website only) — serves website-level advertisements on our site, separate from in-app advertising. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
These third parties may independently collect information from you in accordance with their own privacy policies when you interact with their services through the Game. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of these third parties.
5. Advertising
5.1 In-App Advertising (Mobile Free Versions Only)
The free mobile versions of the Game (Google Play and Apple App Store) are supported in part by in-app advertising served through Google AdMob. Advertising partners may use device identifiers, general location (such as country or region derived from IP address), and ad-interaction data to select and measure the advertisements shown to you, and may use this data to build an advertising profile that could be used across other apps and services. This may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some data protection laws (see Section 9 for your rights and choices).
The paid Steam and Mac App Store versions of the Game contain no advertisements and do not use AdMob or any advertising SDK.
Where required by applicable law or platform policy, you may have the ability to limit ad tracking through your device's operating system settings (for example, "Opt out of Ads Personalization" in Android settings, or declining tracking permission when prompted by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework on iOS).
5.2 Website Advertising (poolker.net)
Our website, including the free browser demo described in Section 8, is supported in part by website advertising served through Google AdSense. This is separate from, and works differently than, the in-app advertising described in Section 5.1 — it operates at the website-page level rather than through an in-app SDK, and may use website cookies and standard web analytics in addition to any device/browser identifiers. Google's own privacy policy governs how AdSense collects and uses this data: https://policies.google.com/privacy
6. Platform Cloud Saves (Google Play Games Services / Apple iCloud / Steam Cloud)
Where enabled, the Game may allow you to optionally back up your local progression data (Section 2.2) to a platform-provided cloud save service — Google Play Games Services on the Google Play version, Apple's platform save services on the Apple App Store or Mac App Store versions, or Steam Cloud on the Steam version. These are operated entirely by Google, Apple, or Valve, respectively, not by us. Data stored through these services is subject to Google's, Apple's, or Valve's own privacy policies and data handling practices, not this Privacy Policy. We do not have access to, and cannot retrieve, restore, or delete, data stored in these platform cloud save systems on your behalf — you must use the applicable platform's own account tools to manage that data.
By design, progression synced on each platform is separate and does not transfer between platforms, except for the account-level data carried by the optional Google account link described in the next paragraph. Apart from that link, the platforms are operated as independent products with independent virtual economies (see Section 8). The free browser demo at poolker.net does not have progression to save at all, since it consists only of offline local two-player and vs.-computer play.
The optional "Link Google Account" feature (Section 2.5) is the one exception to platform separation, and it is different from the platform cloud saves above. It is operated by us — we use Google's service only for the sign-in step — and it stores only the small linking record described in Section 2.5, not a full copy of your progression. When you sign in with the linked Google account on another device, whether on the same platform or the other one (mobile or Steam), it carries that profile's Web Coins balance and online multiplayer win/loss record to that device. It does not copy device-local progress such as League standings, badges, or cosmetics; a backup file does that. It is governed by this Privacy Policy, and you control it directly through the "Unlink" option in the Game.
7. Data Storage, Retention, and Security
Online data described in Section 2.3 (Web Coins balances, match history, online statistics) is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure (via Firebase) and retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Game's online features, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations. The Google account link record described in Section 2.5, if you create one, is retained until you remove it with the "Unlink" option or ask us to delete it, after which it is deleted from our servers. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information we store from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Virtual Currency — No Real-World Monetary Value
The Game uses two forms of virtual, in-game currency, neither of which is ever purchasable with real money, on any platform:
- Coins — earned through gameplay (League play, daily login, watching optional rewarded advertisements on the mobile versions, and other in-game activities). Coins are used to purchase cosmetic items within the Game.
- Web Coins — used specifically as the wagering stake in Online PvP matches between players. On the Steam and Mac App Store versions, earned through League gameplay. On the mobile versions (Google Play and Apple App Store), earned solely through watching optional rewarded advertisements — including tiered opportunities requiring up to four consecutive advertisements for a proportionally larger reward, each disclosed before you begin — the daily login bonus, and winning Online PvP wagers. The free browser demo at poolker.net does not include League play, Online PvP, or Web Coins in any form.
Where the mobile version offers real-money purchases, those purchases are of specific cosmetic items directly, at a fixed, disclosed price — real money is never exchanged for a quantity of Coins or Web Coins as an intermediate currency, and no real money purchase can increase your Coins or Web Coins balance.
Neither Coins nor Web Coins have any real-world monetary value. They cannot be redeemed, exchanged, cashed out, transferred to another person outside of normal gameplay outcomes, or converted into real currency or any other thing of value, under any circumstance. All Coins and Web Coins balances are licensed to you for entertainment purposes within the Game only, are non-transferable, and remain our property at all times. This Game is a skill-based competitive game and is not, and should not be understood to be, a gambling or real-money wagering service.
9. Your Rights and Choices
9.1 If You Are Located in California or Another U.S. State with a Comprehensive Privacy Law
As of 2026, over 20 U.S. states — including California (CCPA/CPRA), and others with comparable frameworks — give residents rights to know what personal information we collect, request deletion or correction of it, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (which may include the advertising identifier data described in Section 5). To submit a request, contact us using the information in Section 13. We honor opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where legally required to do so — if your browser or device sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale/sharing of your personal information, and we will provide visible confirmation that an opt-out request you submit has been processed. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.
9.2 If You Are Located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland
If GDPR or the UK GDPR applies to you, our legal basis for processing your information depends on the purpose: providing the Game's core features relies on the necessity of processing to perform our contract with you (these Terms); online matchmaking, fraud prevention, and security rely on our legitimate interests; and advertising-related processing (Section 5) relies on your opt-in consent, obtained before any non-essential advertising SDK is initialized or any advertising identifier is collected, which you may withdraw at any time with the same ease with which it was given. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your personal data; to receive a copy of your data in a portable format; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13. [INSERT EU/UK REPRESENTATIVE NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS, IF APPLICABLE UNDER GDPR ARTICLE 27 / UK GDPR.]
9.3 General
Because most locally-stored progression data (Section 2.2) never leaves your device and is not held by us, requests relating to that data are best handled by clearing the Game's local app data or uninstalling the Game directly on your device.
If you linked a Google account (Section 2.5), you can delete that link yourself at any time using the "Unlink" option in the Backup area of the player profile. Unlinking removes the linking record — including the stored email address — from our servers.
To delete your data in full, you can use any of the following:
- In the Game: open the player profile, go to the Backup tab, and choose "Delete All My Data." This erases your progress, Web Coins balance, online record, any linked Google account record, and referral records — on the device and on our servers.
- On the web: visit our data-deletion page at https://poolker-referrals.web.app/delete-account and, if you linked a Google account, sign in with it to delete your data immediately.
- By email: contact us using the information in Section 13 with the subject "Delete my PoolKer data."
Deletions are permanent and are completed immediately for the in-Game and web options, or within 30 days for email requests, subject to any limited retention required to resolve an open dispute or comply with law.
For advertising-related choices, you may also adjust your device's ad-personalization settings directly, or opt out of interest-based advertising through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://optout.aboutads.info) or Google's Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com).
9.4 Third-Party Links
The Game or its store listings may contain links to third-party sites or services (such as our support contact, or the Google Play or Steam storefronts themselves). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party site you navigate to, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them.
10. Children's Privacy
The Game is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. Online multiplayer features, including Web Coins wagering, are not intended for use by children. The optional "Link Google Account" feature (Section 2.5) requires a Google account, and Google's own minimum-age requirements for holding a Google account apply to that sign-in. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the applicable age without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the information in Section 13.
11. International Data Transfers
Our online services are operated using Google Cloud/Firebase infrastructure, which may store and process data in countries other than your own. By using the Game's online features, you understand that your information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Game's features, or legal requirements. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy when we do. Material changes will be communicated through the Game or its store listing where required by applicable law. Your continued use of the Game after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, or wish to exercise your privacy rights, contact us at:
poolkerbilliards@gmail.com
This document is intended to describe PoolKer's actual data practices across its mobile and Steam versions. It should be reviewed and formally adopted only after legal review appropriate to your business structure and the jurisdictions in which the Game is distributed.
